I start a piece by hand sculpting the initial shape in earthenware clay then intricately carve into it whilst it is in a leather-like state. This process is exceedingly intricate and delicate and must be completed within the short window of time whilst the clay has just the right amount of moisture.

It is then left to thoroughly dry before it is kiln-fired then glazed and fired again to produce a unique ceramic sculpture.
